Winter is still here. The Olympics are in full swing and spring is just around the corner. We are all waiting for the Milwaukee real estate market to start reacting to the upcoming spring market, fueled not just by better weather, but by the tax credits being offered to first and second time home buyers.
Though the economy is hinged on the job market, there has never been a better opportunity for someone looking to buy a home if they have confidence in their employment status. With declining prices, historically low interest rates and the tax credit bonus….WOW! This creates the perfect time to jump into the real estate market.
As unemployment numbers remain high and we are still in the midst of the winter months watching the Olympics, there is no urgency to make a move. However, I do expect a rush in mid-March to mid-April as people realize that the tax credit expires April 30th .
