Franklin

The Franklin community prides itself on being an exceptional place to live, do business, and raise a family. The City of Franklin offers outstanding schools, a variety of indoor and outdoor recreational activities, and community celebrations that showcase the rich traditions of the City.

Franklin was organized into a township in 1841. The name "Franklin" was given in honor of Benjamin Franklin in 1838. The township consisted of 36 miles and 105 years later, in 1956, was known as a "City of homes".

Schools

The Franklin Public Schools serve the center portion of the City, with district facilities including five elementary schools (Ben Franklin Elementary, Country Dale Elementary, Pleasant View Elementary, Robinwood Elementary, and Southwood Glen Elementary), one middle school (Forest Park Middle School), and one high school (Franklin High School). The Franklin Educational Foundation is a non-profit organization funded through donations from individuals, small businesses and corporations, which provides additional educational opportunities beyond what the school district provides through business and community partnerships

Business

Businesses are an integral part of the city of Franklin! It is a growing community of 33,000 people! Franklin is strategically located between Interstates 94 and 894 and the major State Highways 36, 45, and 100 closely linking Franklin to the City of Milwaukee and the Metropolitan Chicago area. Franklin has a strong economic base with homes to a variety of businesses in our 425-acre Franklin Business Park (Carmex, Central Aquatics, Krones, etc.). Franklin is home to Northwestern Mutual's 1.0 million square foot Franklin Office Campus and is also home to the recently approved 300,000 square foot Wheaton Franciscan Hospital Complex. Franklin also has an abundance of open green space which is still actively farmed or controlled by the park system with definite prospects of residential or commercial development.

•Be advocates for existing Franklin business causes at the local government level.
